Debby first became aware of injustice in the early 1960's with the Civil Rights Movement and assassinations of JFK, Malcolm X, and MLK. During those years she was exposed to the horrors of the Holocaust, Vietnam War and slavery through her Jewish education. She made a decision at an early age to dedicate herself to serving others as her personal solution to existing in the world. Debby became a Registered Nurse in 1981 and today continues to actualize her calling to relieve the pain and suffering of others and stand against injustice. Although her first acting experiences started at age 10, it was not until 2014, in Acting Class With Patrick White, that she became aware of the power of theater to raise our consciousness/awareness to the violence, brutality and injustice born by our fellows.
With what she hopes is empathy and compassion, Debby will continue to support and participate in theater dedicated to igniting the altruistic potential of us all.
