Connie and her puppet sidekick, Cinnamon, livestream aspirational content about "traditional womanhood." But when her audience uncovers a secret of Connie's in real time, she is forced to reckon with how her allegiance to an oppressive ideal does not protect her from its impact.

CAU presents two evenings of staged readings of new plays created by the members of CAU's New Play Development Incubator.

Led by J. Scala, these playwrights- Amy Biancolli, Julie Demers, Patricia Fennell, Dio Kaufman and Stephanie Remmert- have worked together over the past year to offer each other feedback and support as they each develop new work.

This narrative play follows the story of five artists creating new work despite the walls of increasing censorship closing in around them. As they grapple with choosing between safety, sustainability and sacrifice, a volatile political climate threatens their freedom to create art at all.
