Alyssa is a playwright, actor and advocate for the underserved. Originally from Albany, she has travelled abroad and lived in different cities before settling back home. Growing up she studied music, then followed an academic path for several years before discovering a passion to express life through theater. The diversity of her work includes writing and producing a musical about the impact of parental deportation on U.S. born children; published writings challenging the stereotyping of women; and photographic outreach about sex trafficking. Alyssa often weaves history into her art, along with humor, to connect her audience to the larger human experience.
